How EV Cost Calculation Works
Electric vehicles use kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity instead of liters or gallons of fuel. The cost to charge an EV depends on your local electricity rate and your vehicle's efficiency.
Formula:
Energy Needed (kWh) = Distance (km) × Efficiency (kWh/100km) ÷ 100
Total Cost = Energy Needed × Electricity Rate per kWh
